Convultra vs TAGGRS
TAGGRS is a Dutch managed host for server-side Google Tag Manager, with EU infrastructure, a free tier, a GDPR PII anonymizer and cookie recovery built into every plan. For a European team that wants sGTM hosted close to home at a low price, it is a sensible choice. It is still a container you configure. Convultra removes the container and gives you the reporting that a container does not: recovery, delivery status per conversion, web analytics and AI Attribution.
Based on publicly documented features and pricing as of September 2026. Competitor pricing checked 14 September 2026. TAGGRS is a good product for what it does; if any of this has changed, tell us and we will correct it.
Pick TAGGRS if EU-hosted sGTM is the requirement
- Your compliance posture requires the tag runtime to sit on EU infrastructure you can name, and GTM is the interface you want.
- You need Meta or TikTok server-side delivery now. A TAGGRS-hosted container runs those tags today; our forwarding is coming soon.
- You have someone who owns the container and the per-request bill at €22 a month is a rounding error next to their time.
Pick Convultra if you want the outcome without the container
- You want the recovery number, per-conversion delivery status and web analytics without building any of it in a container.
- Nobody on the team wants to maintain tags, triggers and variables in perpetuity.
- AI assistants are sending you traffic and you want it attributed with revenue.
- You bill on ROAS and want revenue, ad spend and blended ROAS in one report you can schedule to clients.
You can run both for two weeks
Leave your current setup running and add Convultra alongside it. Shared event IDs mean no double-counting, and you get a side-by-side read on how many conversions each setup actually delivers before you cancel anything.

Is Convultra better than TAGGRS?
If the requirement is server-side GTM hosted in the EU at a low price, TAGGRS is the better product for that requirement and Convultra is not a substitute for it. If the requirement is accurate Google Ads conversions, a recovery report and delivery you can evidence, without anyone owning a container, Convultra is the better product.
Is Convultra GDPR compliant?
Convultra respects consent (when a visitor declines tracking, nothing is recorded or forwarded), hashes PII with SHA-256 before it reaches an ad platform, and offers a DPA. It is a UK company. A processing region is not selectable on standard plans; Enterprise contracts can agree one. If EU-only residency is a hard legal requirement, ask us before switching.
How much does TAGGRS cost compared to Convultra?
At the time of checking, TAGGRS is free to 10,000 requests a month and Basic is from €22 a month on annual billing for 750,000 requests. Convultra is $49 a month for 1,000 tracked conversions with page views free. The two meters count different things, so model your own traffic before comparing.
Does TAGGRS do the tracking for me?
No. TAGGRS hosts the container and adds infrastructure features such as a custom subdomain and cookie recovery. The tags, triggers, variables, consent logic and deduplication are configured by you in Google Tag Manager.
Can I keep TAGGRS and add Convultra?
Yes. Run both in parallel with shared event IDs so Google Ads deduplicates, compare for 14 days, and keep the one that delivered more.
